Let's Rebuild Citronelle!

"This campaign is rooted in conservative principles that will lead us to have a safe, secure, and thriving city once again."

Rebuild Main Street

At one time, Main Street was an extremely prosperous, busy, and wealthy part of town. Today, however, it is run-down, falling apart, and in desperate need of renovation. Change is needed to restore our historical buildings on Main Street and rebuild it to boost economic growth by attracting more businesses and helping them thrive in this historic part of town. Currently, there are no plans by the administration to rebuild, renovate, or improve Main Street in any way. Under a Walker administration, the first priority will be securing federal grants to restore Main Street to its original design. This is possible through federal historical preservation grants, which would fund the renovation and place Main Street on a historical register, ensuring it can never fall into disrepair again.

Supporting Small Businesses

Small businesses are the backbone of Citronelle's economy. Too often, promising small businesses fail due to the lack of tax incentives for them. We must support the businesses that keep our town alive. I plan to incentivize small businesses; no "mom-and-pop" shop should pay the same tax rate as large corporations like McDonald's. This would lead to more growth, a stronger economy, and increased competition in our workforce.

Economic Development

One of my first actions will be, with an unbiased planning commission, to completely overhaul the current administration's "Comprehensive Master Plan 2040." This plan includes needless spending, wasting your tax dollars without any real improvements to show. For Citronelle to remain competitive with nearby municipalities, we need more growth. Welcoming new businesses will close the gap with neighboring towns and bring more revenue to Citronelle, leading to more money in the pockets of hard-working citizens (like you!).

Infrastructure

Our town's infrastructure needs significant improvement. Roads are littered with potholes, some sidewalks lead to nowhere, and some street signs are illegible. These are just a few examples of major safety issues that pose risks to both motorists and pedestrians. To improve our infrastructure, we must use our already available funds to address these issues before they worsen. The city receives $300,000 annually for infrastructure improvements, but instead of building new, permanent roads, they have simply been putting temporary fixes on ongoing problems.

Backing the Blue

I have immense respect for every law enforcement officer who serves our great city. These men and women put their lives on the line for us every day. The Police Department deserves more funding. In my first 100 days in office, I will work with the city council to provide additional funding to our police department, ensuring the City of Citronelle can recruit more top-notch officers who share our vision of restoring pride, strength, and safety to our community. This will lead to us having a safe community once again.

Restoring Faith in Local Government

Currently, many hard-working constituents feel that the leadership in our city does not see them. My goal is to restore accountability, transparency, and integrity to our public offices. We need strong, open-minded leadership to make Citronelle "the city upon a hill," a place where people want to live, work, and retire again. We need a mayor who works well under pressure, can make quick decisions, and will do what's best for every citizen. I am prepared, if elected, to do just that. My commitment to you is to always keep an open mind and listen to every issue so that we can all work toward a common goal: restoring Citronelle to its "Golden Days." With your help, I believe we can make these visions a reality. On August 26th, we can make history and rebuild Citronelle! Thank You!
