About Nathaniel

Nathaniel Walker, a 20-year-old resident of Citronelle, Alabama, is proud to be a candidate for Mayor of Citronelle in the August 2025 election. Nathaniel is the great-grandson of James and Deanna Davis, the grandson of Patricia Norman, and son of Andrea Norman. He is a member of Destination Church in Saraland, AL and believes strongly in putting others before himself.

Nathaniel has been involved in politics his whole life, campaigning for candidates in both local and national elections. With his breadth of experience in working on political campaigns, he plans to use the skills he has learned to work with local and federal officials to improve Citronelle's economy, fix badly deteriorated infrastructure, and improve the lives of everyone who lives in Citronelle.

With an optimistic vision for Citronelle's future, Nathaniel plans to become the youngest mayor in Citronelle's history, bring a new perspective, and revitalize this community that he dearly loves. His campaign has already begun to gain momentum with a network of friends, colleagues, and family who share his vision of making Citronelle a better place to live.

His platform consists of an in-depth plan to restore the city's historic Main Street, making the local government more transparent and accountable, and investing in key areas: law enforcement, education, and economic development. These efforts will build a Citronelle that can compete effectively in the 21st century while preserving its rich history, and community pride.

The main initiative of Nathaniel's campaign is to renew Main Street, which is at the core of Citronelle's historic district. Long a symbol of Citronelle's charm and community identity, the street has badly deteriorated over time, with several storefronts empty and local businesses struggling. He is determined to face head-on the challenges of rebuilding Main Street. Under his leadership, he will acquire properties, seek grants, and look for other sources of funds to redevelop that area. His project will feature adding small businesses, creating jobs, and adding shopping and dining opportunities to boost the economy and provide vibrancy back into downtown Citronelle.

Beyond Main Street, Nathaniel is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for all Citronelle residents, and he calls for more openness and efficiency in local government, holding public officials accountable to the people they serve.

Nathaniel plans to invest in law enforcement and schools; both of which are important for neighborhood safety and ensuring students have what they need to succeed. His approach to economic development involves attracting new businesses, creating jobs, and stimulating a seemingly stagnant economy.

Citronelle has a rich history, and rather than allowing this history to fade, he is determined to preserve its legacy while taking it into a new era of growth, opportunity, and leadership. He is ready to get to work for all citizens of the City of Citronelle.

With community support, he will be prepared to lead Citronelle into a new chapter of growth, opportunity, and pride. He believes that together, we can make history and rebuild Citronelle.
